Damascus Mosaic Jewelry Box Made by assembling various types of wood in various natural colors to give it this unique design.  The wood is cut into sticks with geometric shapes and put together.  The strips are cut and then glued onto the product.  It is then inlaid with natural mother-of-pearl, giving it a shine that attracts the attention of viewers.
  It is then covered from the inside with velvet to give it luxury
  Artisans have passed this craft down from generation to generation.  It lasted 700 years and each generation added a special development to it until it reached us in this final form. Unfortunately, the artisans working in this craft have dwindled, and there are only a few workshops left in the world.
